ALC has been a really positive experience for my students who need a little extra support. They’ve built strong relationships with each other, and that sense of connection has made a big difference in how they show up and engage. It’s really become a safe space for them.
For me as a teacher, I’ve loved having the chance to focus on specific skills with each student. The one-on-one and small group time has helped me really get to know where they are and what they need.
One student in particular—I'll call her Sarah—has been in ALC all year, and she also joined our EOG prep group. When she started, she was in the “at risk” range on her Fastbridge scores. Now, she’s testing in the college pathway range. That kind of growth is exactly why ALC matters. With consistent support and a little extra time, she’s made huge progress. She feels confident and ready for her EOGs and I can't wait to see her results! ALC has played a huge role in making her confident and ready to finish out her year strong.
